Full description
Begin your day with pickup from your hotel/port/airport in Muscat in the morning. Travel along the stunning Oman coastline passing by the fishing village of Quriyat and scenic sea views. Your first major destination is Wadi Shab — a breathtaking canyon carved into the mountains, lined with palm trees, rock pools and shaded trails. Upon arrival you will start a moderate-level hike (~30-45 minutes one way) through the wadi, crossing streams and stepping over rocks until you reach the clear emerald-coloured pools. At the end of the trail you’ll swim or wade into a cave where a hidden waterfall awaits — a magical spot for swimming and photos.
After enjoying the wadi environment, you will continue by road to Bimmah Sinkhole — a dramatic natural crater filled with vivid turquoise water. Here you have time to relax, take pictures, swim if you like, and appreciate Oman’s geological wonders. In the afternoon you’ll return to Muscat, dropped off back at your hotel/port/airport, with vivid memories of an adventurous and nature-rich day spent exploring Oman’s wild side.
